This year’s focus is: “Increasing our collective impact through compassion.”
As president this year, Nushi will guide us to be more compassionate in all that we do both as a club, and individually. She will emphasize expanding our efforts to raise awareness about the issue of human trafficking and encourage us to find ways that the club can be more hands-on in preventing and/or helping victims of trafficking.
We will continue to support the funding of a domestic violence counselor at Up Valley Family Centers, NEWS –Nurturing Empowerment Worth Safety- domestic violence and sexual abuse services, and the Boys and Girls Club of Calistoga.
Twice a year we raise awareness of domestic violence and human trafficking by hosting a table at CalMart.
Twice a year we partner with the Calistoga Police Department and St.Helena Hospital to provide a collection site for expired drugs. We call this program: No Drugs Down The Drain.
Each year we host a Thanksgiving Lunch for our senior citizens.
During the Christmas season we have a Letters to Santa operation where we answer the children’ s holiday letters.
